If 2021 has taught me anything, it’s the importance of my physical and mental health and learning when to prioritize looking after myself. My goal for the new year is incorporate new habits into my routine that help my overall wellness and well-being.

x Setting boundaries.
Whether that’s with family, friends or work. In the past I’ve had a tough time saying no and felt pressure to be on my a-game with everyone at all times. This year has taught me how important it is to say no. Because I work from home, learning when to shut off is another boundary I am still learning to set for myself.

x Less screen time.
We can all use a little less time on our phones and computers. My whole life revolves around my phone and I have a hard time switching off – literally. However you choose to limit your screen time this year, making little changes like not keeping your computer in your bedroom, or not going on your phone first thing in the AM can help us all be a little more present.

x Meditate everyday.
I’ve been trying to incorporate meditation and mindfulness all year, but have never committed to it. This year I am prioritizing my mental health, starting with meditation. For anxiety, focus, gratitude and sleep.

x More time for the things that I want to do.
Whether that’s making healthier choices, working out just for me, shutting my phone off and not answering my texts, taking an hour long bath or just wanting more time to be alone (with the hub and Mo of course). This is the year I start doing more things for me.
