INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 to 2 pounds chicken wings/drums
1 tbsp coconut or olive oil
WING SAUCE:
1/2 cup tamari or coconut aminos
1/8 cup rice wine vinegar
1-2 tbsp honey, for desired sweetness
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons minced ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash chicken wings with cold water and dry with a paper towel.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°.
  3. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper. Place the chicken wings on the baking sheet, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with coconut or olive oil. and bake for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, flip wings and bake for another 10 mins on the other side.
  4. In a medium saucepan combine the rest of the ingredients for the wing sauce. Stir to fully combine. Cook over medium heat and bring to a low boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. After the 15 minutes of baking, baste the wings with the sauce.
  6. Bake for an additional 40 minutes, turning over the wings and basting the wings every 10 minutes. Save additional sauce.
  7. Enjoy right away or store in a airtight container in the fridge and reheat.
